Microblading
WHAT IS MICROBLADING?
It is a semi-permanent tattoo technique that gives the appearance of fuller looking brows. You will be consulted on the best eyebrow for your face shape as well as a color that matches your natural hair color and skin undertone. This procedure usually gives results lasting about two years. A small blade will be used to create hair-like strokes in the skin in which pigment is deposited.
It is a two-step process where you come in for a second time 4-6 weeks later for a touch-up appointment. This ensures that any fading or color corrections can be made and you leave with fuller and happier brows!
Careful aftercare is very important to producing a lasting result
-
It’s important to not get the brows wet during the healing process. (5-7 days typically)
-
Use a thick layer of Vaseline to protect the brows from water in the shower or when you think you may sweat. The following procedure is done each day for the full 5 days: Apply Vaseline, leave on for 5-10 minutes (or while showering) then with a dry cotton dab the excess vaseline off. Be sure that you are gentle, especially when brows begin to get flaky or develop scabs.
-
Do NOT pull off scabs. Let them flake off on their own. This could cause loss of pigment.
-
Once brows are healed and begin to become flaky keep them dry and free of Vaseline.
IT IS VERY IMPORTANT TO KEEP BROWS COVERED IN VASELINE WHILE IN SHOWER OR DURING STRENUOUS WORKOUT TO PREVENT MOISTURE FROM PENETRATING.
-
Do not use makeup on the brow area for at least five days.
-
After procedure is fully healed you may go back to your normal cleansing and makeup routine.
FAILURE TO FOLLOW INSTRUCTIONS MAY CAUSE LOSS OF PIGMENT, INFECTION, OR DISCOLORATION
Warnings: -
Do not use Retin-A or Glycolic Acid in the brows during or after healing.
-
Do not scrub or pick treated areas
-
Do not expose area to sun or tanning beds
-
Avoid swimming pool for 14 days
-
Do not dye or tweeze eyebrows for at least one week following procedure
What is normal?
-
Mild swelling, itching, light bruising and dry tightness. - ice packs are nice relief for swelling and bruising. Applying a thin layer of vaseline will help with the scabbing and tightness.
-
Too dark or slightly uneven appearance. - After 2-7 days the darkness will fade, and once any swelling dissipates usually the unevenness disappears. If it is still too dark or uneven we will make adjustments at your touch-up appointment.
-
Color change or color loss. As it heals the color will lighten and sometimes seem to disappear in some areas. This will all be addressed at your touch-up appointment, which is why a second appointment is necessary. The procedure area must heal completely before we can address any concerns. This takes 4-6 weeks.
-
Needing a touch-up months later. A touch-up may be needed 6 months to a year after your first touch-up depending on your skin, medications, and sun exposure. I recommend the first touch-up within 30 days of your first procedure which is included in the price of Microblading. Future touch-up sessions will cost 50% of the microblading procedure at the time of touch-up. If most or all hair strokes have faded you will need to repeat the entire two step process.
-
Eyebrows not being exactly the same. Every attempt will be made to have eyebrows match as closely as possible but they are sisters, not twins and often times, as with real brows, they will not be 100% the same. This is totally normal.
COST: $425
Results are not guaranteed and no refunds will be issued. Just like with a tattoo, everyone’s skin reacts differently to pigment and everyone's result will slightly vary.
